Even without a disaster to overcome, copy can achieve amazing results. Be evocative with words your audience can understand. For example, Alka Seltzer reached its buyers with “Pop! Pop! Fizz! Fizz! Oh, what a relief it is.” (Rhyming helps, too.)

Spending the past 10+ days involved with writers of many forms, the excitement about writing was often palpable in the room. Writers are generous souls, willing to share – their thoughts, their techniques, and what makes them tick.
First, I was front and center to hear noted internationally-recognized, bestselling author Diana Gabaldon as keynote speaker for the Arizona “Buildin’ the Dream” conference for aspiring writers. Her enthusiasm for the act of writing was easily conveyed to her avid audience. Beyond the stories of how she began her writing career, quite entertaining, was the sense of generosity in sharing. She signed autographs, posed for pictures and spoke at length to individuals.
